Why a Blog?

Why on earth do I want to Blog, it is like a diary, and I was never any good at those, they just seemed silly, .... today I went to, or did. My excursions into journaling/diary writing never lasted more than a week.

So why blog? Well, I thought may be a good way to log my Egypt adventures in January 2009. Also a way for me to keep in touch with family and friends and for them to catch up on my adventures.

In the meantime, I am trying to sort out all the things I have to do before I take off. I am trying to ignore Christmas, not sure if that will work out, I wish I could ignore things like organising paying bills, getting David's stuff ready for year 10 next year, because I don't want to be in a mad rush when I get back from Egypt.

You're probably thinking - hey! plenty of time, but the way this year has disappeared when I wasn't looking, the next 8-9 weeks will be like 8 or 9 minutes!
